Remixpoint’s New CEO to Receive Full Salary in Bitcoin Amid Strategic Crypto Shift

Japanese energy and crypto-focused company Remixpoint Inc. has announced that newly appointed CEO Takashi Tashiro will receive his entire salary in Bitcoin, underscoring the firm’s commitment to aligning its leadership with shareholders and embedding Bitcoin into its financial core.

In an official statement released on Tuesday, Remixpoint stated that the move is part of a “shareholder-oriented management strategy,” ensuring that its top executive is financially and philosophically in sync with investors. The company emphasized that Tashiro’s salary and tax obligations would be calculated in Japanese yen, with the equivalent market-value amount of Bitcoin purchased and sent directly to a wallet designated by the CEO.

“We plan to acquire Bitcoin equivalent to the same amount of the yen-denominated payment and transfer it to the designated crypto asset wallet,” the company explained.

CEO Appointment and Bitcoin Treasury Strategy

Takashi Tashiro, who officially became CEO in June 2025, previously stated that Remixpoint would place Bitcoin at the center of its financial strategy, reflecting a growing trend among Japanese firms to shift toward digital asset-based treasury management.

Even before Tashiro’s appointment, Remixpoint had begun acquiring a diversified portfolio of cryptocurrencies. As of June 13, the company reported holding:

  • 1,051 BTC

  • 901 ETH

  • 13,920 SOL

  • 1,191,204 XRP

  • 2,802,311 DOGE

The total combined value of its crypto treasury exceeded $116 million, signaling a significant commitment to digital asset reserves.

Crypto Ties: BITPoint and Trump Memecoin

Tashiro also serves in an executive role at BITPoint, a Japan-based cryptocurrency exchange affiliated with the SBI Group. BITPoint has recently gained attention for its promotional efforts surrounding the Official Trump (TRUMP) memecoin, tied to U.S. President Donald Trump.

This dual role further intertwines Remixpoint’s strategic vision with broader developments in both domestic and international crypto markets.

Global Trend of Crypto-Paid Executives

Remixpoint’s move is not without precedent. In 2021, Peter Wall, then-CEO of U.K.-based Argo Blockchain, began receiving his salary in Bitcoin, citing inspiration from NFL player Russell Okung, who converted part of his paycheck into BTC in 2020.

That same year, Eric Adams, now New York City’s mayor and a 2025 independent reelection candidate, vowed to take his first three paychecks in Bitcoin — a pledge he fulfilled. Since then, Bitcoin’s price has more than doubled, and Adams has remained a vocal supporter of the asset, often boasting about his personal holdings.

Remixpoint’s Bitcoin salary policy marks a further convergence of corporate leadership and digital asset adoption, positioning the firm as a notable player in Japan’s evolving crypto-financial landscape.
